1. Information We Collect

Player Profile And Account Information

We may collect or process a stable local player ID generated by the App, player display name, emoji avatar, language and locale preference, linked account provider, provider account identifiers, and email address or display name from Apple or Google when provided by the provider and allowed by your settings.

When you use Apple or Google sign-in, authentication tokens are sent to the server for verification. The server is intended to store account-link records and token hashes or provider identifiers needed for account linking, not raw Apple or Google tokens as normal account profile data.

Device And App Information

  • Device ID used by the App for push registration and account/device records.
  • Device name.
  • Platform and bundle ID.
  • App version and build.
  • Push notification token and APNs environment.
  • Basic connection metadata needed to operate online rooms and local games.

Gameplay And Progression Information

Solo game progress may be stored locally on your device. Online and some Local game stats may be stored or synced with the game server.

  • Game IDs, room IDs, join tokens, join codes, and saved game identifiers.
  • Game mode, room status, host/member role, difficulty, turn order, and player status.
  • Game actions, such as rolling, moving, buying lands, selling lands, opening upgrades, drawing cards, ending turns, withdrawing, winning, losing, and saving or resuming games.
  • Wallet, lands, upgrades, cards, debts, payments, bids, round count, and game result snapshots.
  • Balance credit, XP, rank points, rank, achievements, leaderboard submissions, player rounds, and other progression values.
  • LAN result payloads submitted by the host device for Local game stat sync.
  • General notifications and in-app invite events.

Downloaded Assets And App Configuration

The App may contact the server to check, download, validate, and update board packages, game logos, sound effect packages, app configuration, and other game assets needed to run the current game version.

These requests may include ordinary network metadata, such as IP address, request time, app version, device platform, and language headers.

Camera, Microphone, Local Network, And Notifications

The App uses these permissions only when needed for the related feature and only if you allow the permission in system settings.

  • Camera, to scan supported game QR codes.
  • Local network, to discover and join nearby Local games.
  • Microphone, to let players in the same online room talk to each other.
  • Notifications, to receive saved game resume notices, cancellation notices, admin test messages, and other game-related notifications.

Voice Communication

Supported online rooms may include voice chat. The server handles room metadata and WebRTC signaling. Audio media is not sent as normal game WebSocket messages and is not intended to be recorded or stored by us.

In some network conditions, encrypted WebRTC media may be relayed through TURN infrastructure to connect players. The App may also share microphone and speaker status with other players in the same room so the room UI can show mute and connection state.

2. How We Use Information

  • Create and maintain your player profile.
  • Let you join Solo, Local, and Online games.
  • Show your name, avatar, room presence, microphone state, and game status to other players in the same room.
  • Run game logic, saved games, invitations, notifications, stats, achievements, leaderboards, and progression.
  • Sync downloaded game assets and app configuration.
  • Link your player profile to Apple or Google sign-in if you choose.
  • Help recover your game identity on another device after account linking.
  • Prevent abuse, cheating, unauthorized access, and service disruption.
  • Diagnose crashes, network problems, and server issues.
  • Respond to support requests and enforce our terms.

3. Sharing Of Information

We do not sell in-game profile data or gameplay stats as real-world financial data. We do not treat gameplay credits or progression values as money.

  • Other players in the same game room, such as your display name, avatar, player status, turn state, game actions, and microphone/speaker state.
  • Apple services, including Game Center, Sign in with Apple, APNs, and App Store services, where you use those features.
  • Google Sign-In, where you choose to link a Google account.
  • Service providers that host, secure, relay, or operate the game server, WebSocket service, asset delivery, push registration, WebRTC signaling, or TURN relay infrastructure.
  • Authorities, courts, or third parties where required by law, legal process, safety, security, fraud prevention, or to protect rights.

4. Game Center

If you use Game Center, Apple may process your Game Center identity, achievements, leaderboard scores, and related Game Center activity under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. The App may submit eligible Online game scores, achievement progress, and leaderboard values to Game Center when you are signed in and Game Center is available.

5. Account Linking, Logout, And Deletion

Account linking is optional. If you link with Apple or Google, the server uses provider verification to associate that provider account with your Bank of Happiness player ID.

You may log out of a linked account where the App provides that option. You may request account deletion through the App where supported. Deletion may require a fresh Apple or Google verification token to confirm account control.

Some records may be retained after deletion where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, audit logs, completed game integrity, dispute handling, or server operations.

6. Local Storage

You can remove local data by deleting the App from your device. Some server-side records may remain unless you use account deletion where applicable.

  • Player name, avatar, and local player ID.
  • Solo stats and saved Solo game state.
  • Recent online game IDs for rejoin support.
  • Downloaded board and asset packages.
  • Audio, language, settings, tutorial, and permission-related preferences.
  • Cached room, stats, or game records needed for the user interface.

7. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, and loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the App, operate game rooms, maintain saved games, sync stats, support account recovery, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce terms.

Different categories of data may have different retention periods. For example, temporary room state may be shorter lived than account-link records, completed game history, fraud-prevention logs, or Game Center submissions.

9. Children

The App is a game and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children without any consent required by applicable law.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border processing.

11. Your Choices

  • Change your player name and avatar in the App.
  • Choose whether to link Apple or Google sign-in.
  • Use system settings to manage camera, microphone, local network, and notification permissions.
  • Use Game Center settings to manage Game Center identity and visibility.
  • Delete the App to remove local app data from your device.
  • Use account deletion where supported.

12. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, server, legal requirements, or data practices change. We will update the Last updated date and may notify you in the App or through another reasonable method when changes are material.
